The NIAAA champions the profession of athletic administration in United States.  They host an annual Athletic Director's conference in mid-December.  The CIAAA is an affiliate member of the NIAAA and works in close partnership with their Leadership Training Institute.

School Sport Canada is the national body for school sport in Canada. SSC is the largest structured sport organization in Canada, with over 750,000 student athletes, 52,000 volunteer teacher coaches and 3,200 schools in the member provincial and territorial federations and associations.

The SSC Learning Centre is an exciting new initiative designed to improve access to quality coach education opportunities nation-wide. Launched during the summer of 2011 following, two years of collaborative planning and grant writing, the online coach education program provides quality training to those who may otherwise be unable to capitalize on these educational opportunities via face to face methods.

Bruce Brown (founder of Proactive Coaching) and his team are experts in the area of character coaching.  His site contains newsletters, downloadable material and shopping session where you can purchase DVDs, booklets and books on a wide number of topics.  His site is a must check out for any Athletic Directors

The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), launched in 1974 and delivered in partnership with the government of Canada, provincial/territorial governments,and national/provincial/territorial sport organizations, gives coaches the confidence to succeed.

Coach and Athletic Director magazine is the largest publication in the school sports industry.

The Alberta Schools' Athletic Association is a voluntary, non profit organization that has been established to coordinate a program of worthwhile athletic activities for the young people of Alberta in an educational setting. The membership, currently 371 high schools, ultimately determines the policy of the Association through representation on the provincial Board of Governors.

As of January 2, 2013 ASAA member schools must complete all transfer forms and appeals online. In order to start either of these processes, you will need to have your ExNet login credentials. If you do not know your ExNet login credentials, please contact the ASAA office immediately.
